Your Health Bolton and Bolton Council in collaboration with Bolton CVS are pleased to announce an opportunity for the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector to support smokers in Bolton to quit smoking through attendance of a VCSE Stop Smoking Referral Pathway Training Event.
This event will introduce the VCSE scheme and the benefits of joining the scheme for VCSE organisations. The event will also discuss how to implement stop smoking brief intervention advice with people who smoke and how to offer them the opportunity to stop smoking. CVSE organisations that signup to be part of the scheme can be rewarded by £100 for each validated referral made into the stop smoking service and a further £100 for a four-week validated stop smoking quit.
This unique initiative aims to help the VCSE sector make a meaningful impact on the health of Bolton residents and contribute to help local people quit smoking, improve their health and helping to keep more money in their pocket. This initiative provides a great starting point to support smokers in their attempts to quit, helping smokers overcome the burden of tobacco addiction, improving their health, becoming financially better off, boosting mental health, and leading longer, healthier lives.
VCSE organisations are encouraged to get involved by registering their interest and becoming part of the VCSE stop smoking referral pathway. To register to become part of this exciting initiative and book your place on the VCSE Stop Smoking Referral Pathway Training Event email swalker@ablhealth.co.uk, phone 07586 022925 or sign up below.
